The first shoot of the series we used 3 7Ds on sticks to film the concert, the second concert we shot using 2 7Ds and the Black Magic Pocket on sticks. We recorded audio but just ended up using the recordings done by the gallery because they were much better. So this weeks video has been a long work in progress. We started working with Moskowitz Gallery a couple months back filming a concert series (which I will post up here eventually) that was a mix of classical music and an awesome alternative music. We eventually turned all of the footage we have into a nice short promotion for the gallery and their upcoming concert series starting in February. Lucky for me it will also be going up on the Steinway website. The concert series we shot was a blast, free wine, great music and beautiful art. The gallery is definitely worth stopping by, its at 743 N, La Brea, Los Angeles CA.

For this video we didn't have to shoot a single clip. For the first time I made a video using only After Effects, which proved to be quite a challenge. The video is an internal promotional video to highlight the companies successes over the past year. I had done the videos in the past, and they were super low budget, and done in a matter of hours. This year they wanted to step it up a bit, but got me again, so I had to step up and make the video far more interesting than it had been in the past. While I have animation experience and experience with AE, making this video proved to be very time consuming, but it taught me a lot more about AE and how much I still need to learn. All in all it was a fun video to make and a great learning experience. P.S I didnt pick the music Until next week (or later) Jake |
